About Canine Canyon Ranch:

Canine Canyon Ranch is located on 21 acres in the mountains of Tehachapi, California.  We are a private rescue and we accept large dogs over 50 pounds. Our pack of 10-15 dogs lives with us in the house so I cannot accept dogs that are not socialized. I give priority to local dogs, owner surrenders and strays and I rescue from animal shelters when I have space. There are usually 10-12 foster dogs here at any given time. A dog is welcome to stay here until they find that perfect forever home, whether it takes an hour or a year.  2007 saw over 50 dogs adopted into loving homes, with only two returns.  As of June 1, 2008, over 50 have already been adopted this year with only two returns so far (those pesky cats win again)!

Our dogs are fixed with all shots and some are micro-chipped. When they leave here they are housebroken and already using a dog door.  An adoption contract is required and an adoption fee covers some of our expenses. Visits with your companion dogs are encouraged if arranged in advance. Donations of money and supplies are welcomed and 100% are spent on the dogs. Please see our wish list for items we always need. Visitors are welcome any time if arranged in advance.
